Every year we get to spend an incredible week

on the Oregon Coast.

This year was no exception although we were missing the ones who make this adventure possible.

Camping in Nebraska

Well... It was fun but it's not like the camping I know.

For a couple reasons

a. It doesn't ever cool down!

b. You are so sticky you don't ever have to worry about sliding off your sleeping bag

3. Mountains..?? Try just driving through some corn fields to your campsite

but all in all there were still smores, laughs and good company. The kids loved it! as did we!

Even in this nice RV park (which is so hard to admit to anyone) Boyce kept saying, "look at our beautiful view!"

We meet my bro and his awesome wife in Omaha for a quick trip

It was so fun.

my first garden

We don't have much of a yard so our great friends share a little earth with us so we could grow a garden. We don't really know what we are doing, but it's growing like crazy and we can't wait for some fresh food!

We go to the Cannon Beach every year with my family. We look forward to it all year.

Fireflies are the coolest thing about living here

They are so amazing to watch at night but the kids never seen it because they are sleeping so I wanted to caught some.

*don't try to catch them while it's still light outside

The skinny ones are the ones I caught during the day with the kids-they don't light up! :)

We stayed up another night and the neighbor boy helped us catch ones that light up

The kids loved it! (and i did too)

Cake pops

So I saw this babycake maker, at my favorite store here- Gordmans, and thought mark would love it for making pancakes and donuts holes. So I got for father's day but it's turned out to be more of a gift for myself. I started to learn about cake pops, which I am sure you all know about, because I read on a blog if you didn't know about them then you live under a rock. well I guess I live under a rock but I love them! And I love making them. So if you live under a rock too you should check it out!

4th

The 4th of July is so fun because it just means summer!

It was crazy here-turns out you can do any fireworks under the sun june 27 through the 4th and people do! Every night was firework show and the 4th the craziest!

We have had some sleepy kids.

Mark worked that night but we had a fun day at our place with some friends.

I am so grateful for our freedom! God bless America!

Grandma & Grandpa Turpin

We had some special visitors drive all the way from Idaho to see us!

We had a really great time,

but the kids especially loved having grandma & grandpa.

We did a lot: temple trip, tour of case new holland, long walks, park trips, fireworks, and the sthur muesum!

Thanks for coming we miss you!
