Frisbee golf or disc golf as they call it here

With every nice fall day we live it up. You never know when it's going to be your last night enjoy being outside!

Family Night Fun Badge

Still going strong on our badges of fun. Boyce called this one Family Home Evening Badge. We played the fun marble game together as a family and it was a hit but when we were done he didn't want to print our badge out because he wanted to play all the games. It was fun but I was completely worn out by the end of the day. :)

Road Trip!

 We drove a total of about 2400 miles! Our kids did awesome. In fact Boyce cried when he knew we were going home. We saw lots of site and tons of family! We love being "home." We met lots of Turpins in Montana at the hot springs. The swimming was amazing, the mountains perfect, and the company entertaining. After a week in great Mt we headed south to Idaho to see the rest of the family. Thanks everyone for making great efforts to spend time with us. We love ya!

Badges of fun: Learn something new

For this badge we had a blast finding letters in the world around us. We found them at the park, at home, at the fair and everywhere we went. Boyce always made sure I have the camera on me. We finally got the entire alphabet  Boyce still is always looking for letters.

Cannon Beach

Every year we get to spend an incredible week

on the Oregon Coast.

This year was no exception although we were missing the ones who make this adventure possible.

Camping in Nebraska

Well... It was fun but it's not like the camping I know.

For a couple reasons

a. It doesn't ever cool down!

b. You are so sticky you don't ever have to worry about sliding off your sleeping bag

3. Mountains..?? Try just driving through some corn fields to your campsite

but all in all there were still smores, laughs and good company. The kids loved it! as did we!

Even in this nice RV park (which is so hard to admit to anyone) Boyce kept saying, "look at our beautiful view!"

fireflies

Fireflies are the coolest thing about living here

They are so amazing to watch at night but the kids never seen it because they are sleeping so I wanted to caught some.

*don't try to catch them while it's still light outside

The skinny ones are the ones I caught during the day with the kids-they don't light up! :)

We stayed up another night and the neighbor boy helped us catch ones that light up

The kids loved it! (and i did too)

Mad scientist playdate

Our friend Ralae put on a great playgroup! It was a hit.

She showed the kids some great experiences which they got a kick out of and were learning too. (but don't tell them that)

and then they made slime

It's easy and fun to make:

Mix 1 teaspoon borax in 1 cup of water.

In separate container, mix 1/2 cup of white glue with 1/2 cup water (add food coloring in you want)

Mix it together!

Colorado Mountains

We loved loved loved being in the mountains!

How we miss them!

When we finally got to where we were driving up in the mountains Boyce kept saying "We are catching up to the mountains!"

It was hard to come back.

Nebraska even feel flatter now (if that is possible)

It was so fun to be with Brian and Amanda too. Brian is Mark's brother.

Boyce and Avery couldn't be separated and we finally got to meet little Lily.

We miss you even more then the mountains.

Summer Beginnings

I wanted to remember that summer is just beginning for 2 reasons:
