September 11th

This is a great video as we remember the tragedy of September 11th and find hope in what happened.

Spy Cam

Boyce will never talk for the camera. Whenever we try he just says "camera, camera" or sees himself and says "Avery" (his cousin's names which is now every little boy). So Mark did a little spy cam last night while we were reading before bedtime.
Pause the music up top!

Our special Visitor

My mom came to visit us last week and we loved every minute of it. It's not a easy place to get to so we were so glad that she came. She helped us get more settled and just spoiled us. It made the transition easier for me with Mark going back to school and being in a new place. There isn't a ton to do here, but we went to the park and to a fun Pioneer museum, and watched a lot of fun Movies. We miss her already.

Believe it our not; one foot is my moms and one is mine-- guess which one

O!

We went to the Omaha for the weekend for
a class Mark had to take and orientation. It was fun to be on the Creighton campus and be in the "big" city. It is so different from the rest of the Nebraska. The zoo was the best zoo we have ever been too!! Boyce loved it, and it was so much fun! We got to go to winter quarters and see the temple which was a spiritual experience. Boyce and I tried to find things to do and keep busy
while Mark was in classes.

A long story... well long

We have been unconnected for so long but we are back! I would usually just skip everything that has happened and move on, but you just got to know all the craziness we have been up too.

We took the crazy long drive from Spokane WA to Hasting NE. It was beautiful and really really long. When we got here we realize it was different then anywhere we had moved before. 1st instead of people there was just cornfields and 2nd you don't just find a rental and move it. There aren't any!! So after too many days in a hotel the Bishop let us move in with him. There are such kind people, but I was going a little crazy with a wild boy and Mark gone at class all day. We watched a lot of TV and did a lot of sidewalk chalk.

We finally found a place in a village outside of Hastings, but couldn't move in until Aug. 1st. So to get out of the Bishop's way we took off for Idaho as soon as Mark's 2 week class was over. We stopped in Utah to see family and so Mark could take a test. We got stuck waiting for the silly test but we had some fun.

After another drive we made it to Idaho to be with our family and friend. We loved being there and had so much fun. Unfortunately Mark's uncle past away while we were there, but we were so grateful to stop in Utah again and attend the funeral.

Our drive back was fun. It was my B-day so we stopped in Steamboat Co. We enjoyed the mountains, and even went to the Rodeo.

So if you think it's been crazy so far, it really hits the climax when we get back to Nebraska. We finally get back and arrange to move it and our place is terrible. I don't know if I can help you fully understand. The place smelled like dogs had been in there for the last 2 weeks peeing wherever they wanted. Also while the men moved the stuff I was cleaning, and I can't even begin to tell you how many spiders I vacuumed up! There were holes in the walls and floors and who knows what kind of critters had been crawling in and out. We were starting a search for a new place and found the best place ever!! Just a cute old house that had been renovated so everything is new, carpet, appliance, garage. It's right here in town too and it really wasn't much more. So Mark moved all our stuff again, and all by himself! He is crazy and the best husband in the world.

It's an adjustment but we are grateful to have a home of our own for now.

Another day, another move

You know you are in Nebraska when, someone ask, "Is your boy going to grow up to be a cowboy riding bulls?"
We made it to Nebraska! It was a long drive, and it was hard to leave our family, but Boyce was so good. We went from beautiful green mountains, to beautiful green fields. For now we are sadly living out of our suitcases trying to find a place to live. Mark has a class that starts on Monday and last for 2 weeks. Then his nursing classes start officially on August 26th. So here goes a new chapter of our life. We will keep you posted.

Hugging cousins

My sister in-law Amy came into town and we all went to the Children's Museum together. Which was really fun. The boys were all so excited to see each other! It was so adorable! Boyce's misses all his cousins. At least once a day he points to the picture of all the kids at the beach and says, "Paige."

Happy 4th

The 4th of July is always so much fun. We had beautiful weather and a great time with my parents. We went to Coeur d'Alene on Friday and took a hike, enjoyed the lake and the town. Then Saturday we just enjoyed the day. Have a delicious BBQ, and got the kiddie pool out.

I have been loving all the cute things Boyce has started to say. It's so fun that he is starting to talk and it makes it so much easier to understand what he needs! I have been meaning to write down some of my favorite things he says so bare with me.

-- mommy and da-te
-- when ever he see the bunny out in the backyard he says "hop hop" and he is always out there looking for the "hop hop"
-- everything is an "apple" grapes, strawberries, blueberries and even apples.
-- ball and up he loves to say and has been saying for a while now
-- When he is in the bath and he wants to get out he says "al done" and starts putting his toys in the bucket and says "dean up, dean up" (clean up for those who don't speak baby)
he loves to "dean up" it's really cute
-- he doesn't quite use the word thank you right, but it's still so precious whenever he hands me anything he say "tank too"
-- Every time he see my brother Joe he yells "Doe!" It's never spoken only yelled and he gets really excited.
-- When he wants to play chase he'll say "dee dii doo" because I'll say to him "Fee Fie foe"
It's just so amazing, and fun. His little voice is so sweet and high pitched. I love it! I wish I could get it on film better. I think he learn a new word always every day, of course he proabably says no the most. It's so fun to watch them learn and grow.
