My friend, Jamie came hiking with me at Red Rock. We had a great time. We hiked a little, the kids played in a fun sandy spot, and we had a fun picnic. We will miss this place and all our friends.

Watch out Nebraska!

We got a letter from Creighton Nursing school in Hastings Nebraska and Mark got in!! It really was a miracle. We applied way after the deadline, but they had 2 spots left. Mark was completely inspired to apply there. School starts this August so we are making plan to move again! This will be the 7th place we have lived since we were married. But in all these moves we have met wonderful people and I think we are on the right path. So yes Mark is going to be a nurse so go ahead and get all your male nurse jokes out,go ahead and call him Mark RN, but we are thrilled!

Mt. Charleston

Can you believe this place is 25 miles outside of Vegas!?! We wouldn't believe but we have been there. We went on an awesome hike on Saturday up at Mt. Charleston. It was so wonderful to smell the pine trees and breath the fresh air. Boyce has so much fun riding in his pack on the way up, but slept most of the way down. What a beautiful world we live in!

Birthday Boy!

Mark had another birthday if you can believe! This year went so fast. Our fabulous friend, Aubrey watched Boyce for us so we could go on a fun date. I took Mark to the Adventure Dome in Circus Circus. We got a discount for having a library card. We had so much fun being together and riding all the fun rides. FYI Mark is the number one laser tag player in Las Vegas.

Utah Trip

We were lucky enough to take a little trip to Utah for some family events. First we went to see our nephew Lad at the Primary Children's Hospital. What an amazing place of healing and hope. We were glad to spend some time with him and Mark's sister Joy. He recovered wonderfully and got to go home last week.

We were privileged to attend Mark's cousin's wedding. It was beautiful and so fun to see so much family.

Candace is such a wonderful sister and an amazing aunt. We loved staying at her place and spending some time with her.

It was a quick trip so we didn't get to see all our friends but I had lunch with Erica who is so sweet (sadly my pictures didn't turn out), and we got to see Marianne and their sweet baby Eleanor (sorry we miss you Clayton).
And we got to see some of my family too!!! Joe and Mal are living in Spokane for the summer, so we went to help them move (well I mostly chases after Boyce). We loved being with them again. They crack us up. My parents came to help with the move so we were so lucky to spend time with them. Boyce loves his grandparents and we miss everyone already!

Lost & Found

I don't know about any of you, but I am constantly doing stupid things that make me so mad. This is a great story I thought I'd share, it's not just about doing stupid things but also a miracle. We have a water-proof, shock-proof camera so occasionally I let Boyce play with it. Well yesterday he wanted it, so I took the memory card out so he wouldn't delete any pictures. So some reason I just held the memory card in my hand for a while even after he was done playing, and took it out to our porch. Boyce came out and I didn't want him to get any idea so I wanted to hide the card. Not having any pockets I tucked it in my pants being held my the waist band. Of course I forget it was there. That evening we took a long walk (1 1/2- 2 mile) in the neighbor behind our place. It wasn't until that night when we went to bed I remember the silly memory card. I was freaking out so Mark and I searched all over the house and what we could see just outside to no avail. I was so sad so lose the pictures I had from our Utah trip and a nice memory card. So this morning we decided to retrace our steps on our walk. About 1/4 of the way into it I spotted our little memory card just sitting so perfectly on the sidewalk! I couldn't believe it! I was so happy. So sometimes things do work out even when we are stupid and careless.

to AZ and back again

We love being with our family, and miss them all when we are away so we took another quick trip to Arizona to be with John and Jada (my brother). We had such a great time being outside, playing Wii, eating, golfing, and hanging out. It was also fun to go and see where Dr. McFarlane is now working. Boyce loves being with his cousins. Owen and Paige are growing up to be quite the comedians and baby Sybil is getting bigger and cuter ever day. She is the perfect baby.
