road trip to Arizona

We drove down to Arizona to surprise my brother John for his birthday. The look on his face when he opened the door at 10 at night and saw us was priceless. My parents then surprised him the next day. It was a really great time. The weather was so nice we spent most of our time playing in their nice new backyard. Boyce loved being with his cousins, Owen and Paige and we miss everyone already.

11 months

Boyce is getting so close to one year I can't believe it, but I also don't remember life without him. I snapped these pictures on Monday when he was officially 11 months. I love this action shot because clapping is his favorite thing to do.

the beach

We had some business to do in California so we headed that way but just for one day. Don't worry Kelly and Rachelle we are going to come a visit soon when we has more time. We did have just a little time to go to the beach. It was the most beautiful day and the funnest day of Boyce's life so far. He loved the water and we couldn't get him out of the sand. He didn't even eat any he just loved digging and crawling around in the mud.

Communication

I love the ways that Boyce has discovered to communicates with us. He pants when we wants something, yells ahh and claps after prayers, tugs on your leg when we wants to be picked up, and loves to point at everything! My favorite is he takes his forefinger and points to his palm when we wants more food. It's hard to catch anything on camera because he stops as soon as he see it so this is the best I could get.

our move & new year

Well, we did it! We moved to Las Vegas. It's definitely not our first move but it was the biggest. Thank you to everyone who helped us. This is Boyce's fourth home in his one year of living! We really hope to be here for awhile. My parents flew into Provo and helped us so much with the packing, driving and moving in. It would have been so much harder without them. We have been here just over a week but it's starting to feel like home. I do enjoy the nice weather. Boyce and I walked to the park yesterday to swing. It's strange to come from feet of snow to this.
We had a fun New Year's eve too, although we didn't make it to midnight. :) My parents took us to Red Lobster and then we played games until 11 pm!! That was a really late night during this big moving trip. We had a really fun time and lots of great laughs.

turpin christmas party

We look forward to the Turpin Christmas party every year. Mark has a large family and it's not never often we all get together, so it's a special time when we do. We eat great food, open presents and play lots of fun games.

This is the three babies that we born in 2008

first christmas

We had a
fun and white Christmas in Blackfoot Idaho. Boyce loves Christmas. He loved everyone being a wake with him so early. He loved the wrapping paper and he loved all the gifts.

Our nephew Avery almost slept through all of Christmas

First Timers

We got to visit Mark's Grandma. The only living great grandparent Boyce has. We loved talking to Mark's Brother Mike who is on a mission in Alabama right now.
Boyce really did love sledding even if it doesn't look like it in this picture.

Boyce loves his aunt Candace and we will all miss her a lot.

Here comes Santa Claus

Before we left for Christmas we took Boyce to Salt Lake City to watch the Utah Symphony Christmas concert. It was for all ages and he loved it!! It was so cute to see him watch the performers so intently and clap after each song. We all had a really fun time.
