Fiest

We went to the Fiest concert at Deer Valley. The weather was perfect and the music was good. Boyce loved it and asked if we could get him his first guitar for Christmas this year. We think that's a great idea so we can turn him into a child star and basically get rich off his efforts. First he's going to have to learn to stay awake through a whole concert. We have decided that whatever we watch it's always better watching while sitting on a ski run. That really made the night. Here are some pics. (If you haven't heard Fiest check out our playlist you'll love her)

Kayaking

Mark has loved getting back into kayaking this summer with our friend Chris. Julie and I even gave it a try but their equipment was a little big. Even Boyce wanted in on the action but he didn't even come close to fitting.

Turpin Reunion

We had a great time with the Turpin Family in ID. Everyone was there, but Michael who is on his mission in Alabama. It was great to see Taunya who just got home from her mission in England and newest addition Brinley who is now 4 weeks old.

Olympics here we come!

One day we ventured out to the Olympic Park. What an amazing place! Everything we did there was free. We learned a lot at all the neat museums, and the best part was watching the ski jumpers. Next year we are putting Boyce in the summer camp. You have to start them young if you want to make it to the Olympics.

4th of July

We had a wonderful Independence Day. We had been working on the decorations for the truck that would pull the Marriott Float all week., so we would be ready for the parade. I had to work in the morning but it was a lot of fun, because we just entertained the little kids and marched in the parade. Chris & Julie (our friends), Candace (Mark's sister), and the McGarry's (Marks aunt, uncle & cousins all came over for a BBQ. After they all rode the alpine coaster and slide. That night we watch from our place up the ski run and watched the amazing fireworks from about 150 yards away. It was so cozy on the blankets in the warm summer night. Boyces even loves the fireworks. He just watched in awe. Then it was so nice just to walk home. It was a perfect holiday.

Cannon Beach, OR

We just got back from spending a wonderful week with my entire family at Cannon Beach. We have been going their every summer since 1988! It's such a wonderful time being at the refreshing ocean and we had fantastic weather this year. The best part is just being all together as a family and seeing the new additions every year. We always take way too many pictures and I love them all so I put just a few on a little slide show to show our fun times.
